Step By Step > Step 2: Build a Network
Fundraising is all about asking people for support. Your contacts in your family, workplace, social circles and local community are key to making your fundraising easier and successful. You’ll be amazed at how many contacts you have, who you could involve and all the possible ways they can help. Raising funds from companies and trustsVSO has enjoyed regular support from companies, unions, professional organisations and charitable trusts, some of which have been giving for 45 years. Our aim is to secure major grants that fund volunteer placements or other VSO activities that meet the donors’ charitable objectives. If you are planning to approach a company, union, professional organisation or trust that you think might already be a VSO supporter or if you have a contact at a company or charitable trust and feel you could secure major funding from them, please contact us first.
